is there anyone out there who had a Spinal Cord stimulator fitted that didn't help and how did you feel afterwards?

Question:
I am waiting for a Spinal Cord Stimulator to be fitted to help kill the phantom pain I am experiencing in what was my right arm. The specialist who is fitting it told me there was a 50/50 chance of it working, I saw my GP today said that things will change whatever happens and the pain will either reduce or increase.

So is there anyone out there who had a stimulator fitted that didn't help and how did you feel afterwards?

Answer:
I have had two spinal cord stimulators and the first one worked for a while and the second one is still in place. The first one was removed and replaced with a morphine pump. Even when I had the first stimulator implaced, I still needed meds, but it did reduce the pain for a while. Everyone is different and the second stimulator is still managing the pain it was inplaced for.
