I have just been informed that my unborn baby boy has
spina bifida and hydrosephalus. My wife Lisa and I are looking for any
information or stories that could help us understand what we are going to be
going through. Any response would be greatly appreciated.
my daughter is 7 years old and was born with spina bifida.
I was 30 weeks on when we found out. I understand how overwhelming it is,
they tell you all sorts of information and sometimes it just seems too much at
one time. My daughter is in a wheelchair and she is very independent getting
around and doing a lot of things, she sure can speed in her chair. If your
wife, Lisa, would like to talk or ask any questions at all please tell her to
email me anytime.
The important thing is take it one day at a time and enjoy your wee boy when
he arrives, all of the kids with spina bifida have various levels and achieve
different things at different times.
